Letting someone know their brake lights are not working.

Peugeot on M42 lane 3 yesterday, luckily thick traffic so no speed involved but his brake lights were stuck on. I flashed and pointed and when he pulled over to lane 2, I drew level hooted the horn, pulled ahead and flashed my brake lights 3 times but no reaction.

Any ideas for a standard gesture.

waste of time mainly in my experience.

have attempted to warn a few times including getting in front and turning rear fog light on and off a few times for a guy who had left lights off at night on motorway. Took no no notice.

Couldn't reach the Glock but aren't these standard gestures for those who drive with fog lights on in traffic?

I think driving into the back of someone is the standard gesture for letting them know their brake lights are not working.biggrin

If you were tailgaiting on the M5, it might have been me.

But it wouldn't have been faulty brake lights, it would have been engine brakingevil
