Saw on Sunday on my way back from the Sunday Service. OK, so I was near Woking but still, these aren't out yet surely!

I saw a blue one drive through my home town of St Neots earlier in the year. No masking, road-registered and generally looking a bit sexy.

Pretty much the best angle of the car that.

It looks absolutely perfect there.

It looks really plain, I'm sure its a blast to drive, but as far as looks go, its a tad bland.

Someone needs to tell McLaren Marketting that driving the cars around in virtual prod spec. A year or so before launch doesn't generate "interest and sales" as much as it generates "oh it's been out for ages, I want something brand new to pose in"

Looks like a 90s Honda coupe in that picture.

Agree with Sparks on this one, sorry but it just looks like a "generic" sports coupe.
Lets face it, if they tried to make it look outrageous it would have a price to match. Don't get me wrong, it's a fine looking piece of kit but in my opinion no where near a 458 in the looks department.
I guess it depends on what floats your boat really but I bet a lot of sales will be on badge kudos.
As for driving it around before it's launched, well in the gaming world this will soon be known as "doing a GT5", or teasing everyone for a little too long and the end product not living up to the hype. Just my opinion, fire away..........

Have to agree with this.

It doesn't look, "new". The 458 does.. I do prefer the look of the McLaren from the front though.

Saw a white one previously over near Woking and a black one drove past my work too.

Am I missing the visual impact wow? Evora?

Is it better in the flesh?

Saw one a few months ago with what appeared to be data acquisition stuff taped onto it...

As others have said, sounded phenomenal, and in my opinion looks awesome too. But then I'm a bit of a pariah because I find the 458 unattractive (in supercar terms).

I agree. Something of nothing really. Damn, I saw a 1:18 model of a Countach today and was more excited.

Forgot to point out also that when you have the F1 as your first model you have set the bar a little high really, it's like having Angelina Jolie as your high school girlfriend, where do you go? smile

I get the feeling McLaren aren't going for the Dubai market, which is a risky move if you make supercars. But the whole way they've been doing it is more anorak than mink coat, if you get my drift. wink

Out of curiosity, why does it have to have those guards on the rear lights? It doesn't flow as well as the rest of the car. Maybe it is very colour sensitive?
