Quick Valuation Needed - '05 Mondeo

Old couple two doors down are buying a new car, and today asked me how to fill in the logbook when the buyer collects their old one. I inquire a little more and it turns out they're provisionally agreed a private sale of just £400 with some random bloke!

Now, I know a petrol Mondeo Estate isn't exactly going to hold its money well, but they are clearly being had over. I'm not a trader and thus don't own one of those car price books, but I know a PHer will! Any chance someone could give a rough value for their car so I can go and tell them to ask a bit more? Either that or offer them £401 and sell it on.

It's a silver 1.8 petrol 05-reg Ford Mondeo LX Estate. I have to admit to not remembering to ask the mileage due to the shock of hearing the sale price, but they never seem to go out that much, so I'm going to guess at 50k tops. Bodywork condition is pretty bad for a 2005 car - a Mondeo isn't tiny and they're pretty old, meaning almost every panel has some sort of minor scratch, scrape or dent. Other than that though, it looks pretty decent and they're the only owners. Thanks.
