RR 1927 with red badge
Discussion
Hey,
just a little bit of history behind my request.
Every Christmas since I can remember, my Grandad always comments about looking out to see if there is a Rolls Royce 1927 with a red badge. In fact he still does. Obviously I am not in the position to buy one.
Here is what I would like to do.
Arrange for him to go see one close up, possibly a drive around in one, have a good chat with the owner and just generally keep him entertained and answer all his questions that he has. Obviously this would not be done on Christmas day, whenever the owner is free.
Some background on my Grandad, he has been an engineer all his life, currently building a steam engine from scratch fabricating all the parts him self. He invented the battery monitoring system for the Birmingham airport runway lights. He is a very very nice person and has a lot of respect for people and their property.
Any help regarding contact information for anything relevant and a rough sort of cost I should expect to pay would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advanced

Where in the country is your Grandad located? I would suggest you contact the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club HQ (admin@rrec.org.uk) make your request and ask that it be forwarded to the appropriate local section of the club to see if they could help. The club HQ staff will just forward your e-mail to the section secretary and you might be lucky as the members of the club are usually quite amenable to special requests for good reasons.
By the way, all 1927 motors should have a red badge.
