Been all over today which was no problem at all as we've dodged the snow this time (woo hoo!) - a fortnight ago it was hellish getting to work so i'm glad it's passed us by!

S2000 in the snow, no thanks

Didn't need to be anywhere and after a 15 minute journey took 4 hours yesterday could be bothered with risking getting stuck in traffic or having an accident

Yep...this morning the taxi that we pre-booked to take my wife to the station didn't turn up. First car out was the S2K. Got to the station ok but took 17 attempts to get the car back up my street and onto the drive. And that was with the neighbours pushing me.

I did leave a lot of circles in Bare station car park as it was empty and thought 'why not'. Glad I did as it made the effort to get back worth it.

Suggested to the wife that we do shopping first & other chores later, got told "No I have to do ironing first" so we left Chatham at 12ish just as it chucked it down with snow. Got to Maidstone (20-20 roundabout) & I decided to abort & we came back to Chatham! Her company Astra is a POS but is actually very good in the snow, sure the Jag or the Porsche wouldn't have succeeded in the journey.

yes, but only to halfords. needed an aux cable for the ipod and a rear wiper blade. just so happens the halfords car park is one that's empty at the best of times, let alone with a city stopping 3 inches biggrinbiggrin the impreza was a joy but I got handed my arse by another fella who had the same idea in his land cruiser, the shame!!

started work at 7. loaded the van (iveco) and went to try and do some deliveries.
after a few deliveries i got stuck (ox290rn). managed to get on my way and was instructed to get back to the depot.
only took 2.5 hours to get from minster lovell to kiddlington.
left work at 3:20pm and got home at 6pm.took me longer to try to park the car than doing 20 miles (with 4x4 escort)
im driving a bmw 320d.

I too have no snow socks or winter tyres... I've been out to get milk ect... had to travel 40 miles round trip last night taking my brother and his fiancee to his work night out and back... nae problem! Just gotta adjust driving style to the conditions! I'm in NE of scotland, so a tad bit of snow is here...

Gotta wait a tad later at night to have fun in carparks around here... too early and there'll be 17/18 year old chavs in there 1.1 corsa's... Dont want them going into my P&J! :P

Yep i've been out in the BMW,it drives so well with it's 245 rear tyres and RWD.........not! At one point i didn't think i'd make it back home! Still it helped 'top up' my winter driving skills as it's been a while since i've actively gone out in the snow for a 'play'

I went out to go shopping, took the same old route in the lanes.

Turned DSC off and took it steady it was fine, and did not need bags of sand in the boot either.

The BMW was much happier with DSC off, although I am sure it is called something else like ASC or something on my model but I am not going out to check.

I went out for a drive round the lanes, was great fun right up to the point my snowchains broke... then i was screwed. A good few miles and 4 big hills away from home, in the middles of no-where as it's getting dark, in an E30 with summer tyres.. not so clever now are we... no, no we are not.
