Due to that video of the silly woman in the 1er, I've had a look at a load of videos on YouTube of crashes/slides in the snow/on the ice.

Why oh why do people chuck the doors open and try to dive out? What goes through their mind to think it's a good idea? Especially when there are other cars around?

Cheers

Drove my uncle once when he was home from Army and noted he was sitting slightly sideways in the car.

Asked him why and he said it was due to teaching soldiers to drive very large vehicles - he could jump out if it all went pear-shaped!

If you're on a mountain road I would definitely jump out! Don't want to be in the car when it goes off a cliff a-la roads up to ski resorts.

This is good advice perhaps, if you happen to be near a ski resort, on a mountain. However, these mongs are almost invariably women in urban areas...

And it is most certainly amusing. And if one of these "accident imminant, eject!" morons ever hits me, at least it will make the insurance case pretty clear cut!

You'd like to think so, i really wouldn't be surprised if the insurance company tried to get out on the grounds that no one was in the car at the time the collision happened!!

laugh

When people panic they do stupid things. This is one of those times. Or they think 'Bruce Willis did this in that film and he was ok!'.
