I ask this because tonight i nearly drove over a 'Cappaccino' ,surely this must rate as the smallest car on the road?

uh huh...

Seem to see quite a few driven around Worcs.. by the older generation shall we say..

Oh how happy that 479cc 2 cylinder diesel sounds, driving it's CVT gearbox....

The diesel has worse fuel consumption than the petrol?

on the positive side, if you want to turn it into a roadster, you'd only need a hacksaw!

Some of those 'bubble cars' were quite small.

Or do you insist on 'in production'?

Dur Messerschmitt was 9 ft 4 ins long and 3 ft 4 ins wide it weighed 500 lbs and I could lift either end when parking in tight spaces. Two reasonably strong adults could actually carry the car around if necessary.

I saw a Grinnal Scorpion yesterday, a silver one. Little 3 wheeler, pretty small.

Brutsch Mopetta - 5'7" long. Unveiled at Earl's Court in 1956 as the worlds smallest motorcar.
Looks smaller than a C5, anyone know how long one was ?

It can be a one off or production but has to be road legal.

Surely it has to be a car that can carry at least 1 person a couple of hundred miles in say 4 or 5 hours to qualify as a car. The sinclair C5 was just daft and I had a pedal car smaller (and faster ) than that when I was a kid.

The Sinclair C5 isn't a car because you don't need to pay road tax or insurance to use one on the road. I think it's classified as a bicycle.

i saw this thing going through Worthing the other day that must be the smallest car in the world. No idea what it was - took a pic on my mobile so cant post it up here. Was 1 seater and most of the drivetrain was exposed from the rear. Slow as anything crawling up a hill through town and the guy driving it was grinning from ear to ear tooting the most pathetic horn I have heard - hooter style. (no Podie)

no idea what it was but must be the smallest car in the world.

Amsterdam is full of some tiny cars, I'm not sure what they are but they drive down cycle lanes and are about half the size of a smart car. I think you can see the drive train on those as well.
