Alonso to leave Ferrari?
Discussion
I think he'll wait until 2015. I mean, the only place he could go is back to McLaren and given how poorly they have done this year I'm not sure it would be a better place to be than Ferrari.
I think he'll stay put for the first year of the new regs, and then he'll look at who has the best package at the end of 2014 and an open seat for 2015 and try to move there.

This is what I think too.See what next year brings and what teams have a potentially winning car, then make himself available to those teams.

I think if Alonso left Ferrari then it would be wide open for Lewis to go there,
Unlikely given comments from a very senior Fiat figure regarding LH when he left McClaren. Whilst not blunt or direct, the comments were a little more than subtle stab at LH's loyalty, or perceptions thereof.

I would not be surprised if Button is forced out and Alonso goes to Mclaren.
Curious. I immediately thought about typing NO WAY!!!!1111 but then thought about it.You'd think McL would never have Alonso back but Jesus they need a stronger line up and while Button would never be yes man to him that would leave Cheko as Alonso's new Massa replacement.
Lets face it - at the moment there are 3/4 championship contenders - Lewis, Finger, Alonso and Kimi - if you don't have one of those you won't win the WDC.
Alonso is the only one who could possibly change and what Ferrari said on the pit walk was true - but for a change in fortune he could have taken 2 of Fingers titles.
Could - but didn't of course......

I can't see Alonso moving to McLaren. McLaren have a difficult few years ahead imo, a disastrous 2013 campaign putting them well behind the competition, customer Mercedes engines next season and the unknown prospect of Honda engines for 2015. Alonso isn't at the right stage of his career to want to spend the next 3 or 4 years helping to rebuild McLaren, imo.
