Hi all, I'm going to the Singapore GP this year as I've heard the atmosphere is just incredible! So I'm after some advice from people who have been! Tickets go on sale tomorrow so i'd like to hear people's views on the best place to see the action. What are the best places to see over taking and hear those funny new V6 engines! Clearly turn 2 looks like a great place but seems to be a lot of money! Seen on the Singapore website that they offer some sort of weekend ticket that allocates you a seat in 3 different grandstands over the weekend. Are these worth going for? I take it it's not like Silverstone where you can sit anywhere on the Friday and Saturday if you have a grandstand ticket.

Any advice about tickets and local places to see etc will be appreciated!

You wont see much overtaking at Singapore.
I was in 'The Bay' grandstand which was good.
We had a screen right in front of us too which helped.
My old man has been in the turn 2 grandstand for the past few years and he said it was brilliant.

We went last year and it was excellent! Great atmosphere, loads of entertainment around the track and whole arena was very easy to navigate. Got the 3 day ticket, turn 1/2 on race day and worth every penny. Stayed at The Bay hotel (excellent and well over expectations in that price range, very surprised!) directly opposite a big mall where you can get to the track on foot and tube in 20 mins or head over to Sentosa Island (we took the wives on a "work" do...). Amazing place, super clean, very polite people and would do it again if Texas wasn't so tempting!

ETA. We booked through F1.com and for the entire weekend Thursday to Monday I think it was about £1500/person. It was very easy to collect our passes near the track and the whole experience was as easy as it was amazing! The only thing I would say is fly direct if you can, loads of air miles too... Or something smile

Not racing related but the four floors is a must.

Thanks for the replies, some good info to think about now. I want to spend about £500 so I think the bay grandstand could be good or the 3 day ticket with different seats each day.

Lol I've been told by colleagues that four floors has been shut down...
