I am trying to find out as much about the 1970 F1 season as possible for a project.

Any pointers on where the best places to look will be?

How do you mean? Race results? Footage? Technical details? Drivers? etc...

The Autocourse Annual for 1970 would be my first port of call - if you can find one.

It started in 1970.

It was called 'Formula One'.

Can I be of any more help?

That was my first thought.

Just had a look on ebay - there's only one on there and it's £200! eek

OP: track down Paul Parker's Formula 1 in Camera, 1970-79; Eric Dymock's Guinness Guide to Grand Prix Racing and Adam Cooper's Piers Courage biography as well as Alan Henry's Racers 1969-2000. They're all a bit broader than 1970 but good context for a project on a pivotal year.

If you can't afford Autocourse, a volume of Motorsport (unbound) should set you back less than £25 and will be equally informative/comprehensive. Autocourse is overrated IMO but then I can't afford a full set.... (My wife wishes I hadn't come by a complete run of Motorsport 1950-1995 a few years ago for £35....)

I was donated a similar set of Motorsports a few years ago. I will be carrying out a garage clearance in the next few months. If anyone wants to make me an offer smile

Youtube is surprisingly good once you get back to races pre-Bernie control.
