Not sure if it is just me thinking this, but nowadays it appears that JV turns up a race meeting, normally high profile, makes a contentious comment about a driver and/or the event, and then drops below the parapet again?

They was a great deal of noise earlier this year when he signed up to race a car in the new FIA rallycross series, but as far as I can see he has made few actual starts, he's always too busy with commentating jobs etc.

Yes he was good in his day, but now I get the feeling he just loves reminding people of this by stirring up st.
