I have just read in the Daily Mail Weekend magazine that David Coulthard irons Suzi Perry's shirts before every race! What a man!

Here is another weird fact, Suzi Perry has recently turned up on the "people you might know" column of my facebook page! and apparently the poor girl only has 8 friends.

I have never googled her etc etc so have no idea of the reason for the link.

Surely that's a euphemism?!

He's got to do something to try and make her look good, as she knows sweet FA about F1

I've seen this before - he's insistent that he (and only he) irons his own clothes before broadcast. And he's quite happy to do anyone else's if they're around when he has the board out.

Does this mean he does SP's clothes? Probably not, but he's certainly done a BBC journalist's shirt (the guy was following the F1 team a year or so back and doing a behind-the-scenes story).

DC really is one of the good guys. Happy to admit that he was never as quick as some of the others, but immensely pround of the fact that he was a runner up to Schumacher in 2001's WDC. He's also a very grounded man, who's made a life for himself out of the cockpit and cheerfully admits that although he loved his F1 career, he didn't have a problem giving it up.

Didn't like her when she did the MotoGP coverage and still don't like her now she does F1. Thankflly, its rare I watch the BBC F1 stuff. Usually watch it all on Sky.

The MotoGP grid walks were cringe worthy and mainly consisted of flirting.

I thought Lee Mackenzie did a great job when she filled in for Jake Humphrey during the 2012 Olympics; much more knowledgeable and less wooden than Suzi Perry.

Can only imagine she didn't want the job. She was, and still is, the obvious choice.

I think you're forgetting how shallow TV is. Suzi is a good looking woman and Lee is a bit chunky. I'm not sure knowledge comes into it when choosing lead female presenters.

Can't be all about looks for F1 on TV - Kravitz is no oil painting, and the BBC pairing's white jeans were, and always will be an inexcusable crime.

Looks only apply to women.

While we're denouncing F1 presenters lets not forget the elephant in the room- Simon Lazenby, in a battle of knowledge lacking and banal interviewing he's give Suzi a real run for it, the difference being he is boring as ditch water to look out compared to the SP's popularity with "the lads".

I was really disappointed Lee McKenzie didn't get either of their jobs to be honest, she seems to know her stuff and is easy on the ears (and eyes, yes go on...)
