I will be going to my third British grand prix at silverstone in july, camping on the woodlands site friday saturday sunday and leaving monday.
The Tyson Fury Klitshcko rematch is on the saturday night i'm wondering if it will be shown anywhere. The world cup was shown on the big screen outside the petrolhead pub in the woods near the fairgound.

Yes, but that was free to air.

I'd imagine the pub in Silverstone village will show it though. Gets very busy though...get there early!

Depends on what campsite you're in! If you're in Woodlands (where there's more chance of it being shown at the 'pub' there) it isn't walkable. But if you're camping at the top of the circuit, yes..

There's only one TV in The White Horse and that's seldom on. Could be worth checking in advance before you set off.

There are several in the upstairs room; or there were a couple of years ago. Tthat's where I thought it might be shown, but I doubt they'd have it to be honest edit!

The pub changed hands when Les the landlord died a couple of years ago. The new owners opted to change it quite a bit...mmmm.
It's my local.

Oh that's a shame...or did they change it for the better? I think. I can guess...

Went to the White Horse last year as we do every year (or roughly every other for me..), last year was the last time and we are making no plans to go again this year, they are not catering for the F1 fans anymore, they would rather the pub just fall into oblivion I think.

It's now a pub that never fails to disappoint.
It amazes me that with pubs going out of business and shutting every week that someone would takeover a successful, busy, popular pub and change everything in the mistaken belief that they can do better.
It might be my local but we, like many others now rarely go there. Out of hope we occasionally pop in if only to experience having our hopes dashed again.
It should be like the Pistenklaus in Nurburg - a Mecca for visitors to the circuit. It's not.
