Hi this is probably more a tech Q or one for sky CS but I figured I'd get the most accurate response from the "I've suffered that scam" peoples here...

So I have sky HD pack inc F1 HD legacy (no sky sports) with sky phone/broadband

If I cancel the phone/broadband element will they try to kill my F1 and make me take sky sports?

Need to sort something ASAP as the motoGP.com has been unwatchable recently and according to online broadband speed checkers I'm getting 0.66 - 0.9 meg (unlimited up-to-20 meg line used to be about 6 meg!)

help me out here people, have any of you switched from sky BB to another provider with no issues regarding the F1 legacy (F1 channel included in HD?)

I cancelled my phone/bb and retained legacy! Probably end of last summer, expect nothing has changed since then. As long as you don't change your TV package you should be fine

As said just dont change your TV bit.

Since we have had HD package we have done the following:

Added Broadband
Moved house
Added Fiber
Added SkyGo
Upgraded to SkyGo+

None of these have effected or basic Entertainment HD package.

Yep - another one here

Changed from sky BB to BT BB last year - no problems and still have the free F1 HD

As said - just don't change the tv packages, or let sky change them (many of their operators don't know about the F1 legacy and are surprised when you tell them about it)

Also, just in case someone is searching for this I've added sports/movies then removed them after the offer finished and still kept the 'HD pack' with no issues. If you change to one of those new entertainment packages you'd lose the F1.

Another voice for the "you'll be allright camp". I was arguing with them about the price a few months ago and was using the "your internet speeds a bit cack" argument and they said that cancelling the internet wouldn't affect my TV package (I also have the legacy HD package). In the end they gave me some money off so it was all good.

Likewise. I have the same situation as you. I tend to start all my Sky conversations with "if this in any way affects my legacy F1 HD, tell me before you press any buttons - it's a deal-breaker..."

No worries so far, inc. moving house, adding phone and broadband, upgrading broadband. Must admit, not tried to scale back yet, but all Sky folk have been very accommodating.

ETA some speeling

Me too - I moved from Sky phone/broadband to BT Fibre and retained my Sky F1 Legacy Package.
