Thanks. That makes more sense than having her in F1 section.

How many people got a new year's honour?

Do you propose that we have separate forums based on what they do for a living so we can talk about them?

I see Patricia Routledge got a Damehood. I suspect we should only discuss that on the "TV" forum.

Of course it's ste. She' done NOTHING To further women's sport apart from an "initiative" that has also done fk all laugh Just a matter of time before she sets up a Women's only championship, since nothing helps women succeed at the highest levels than removing the other drivers and then wondering why they cant step up to the main championships.

They love the "participated in a F1 weekend" line. As if driving around seconds off the pace on a Friday also means you are potentially a world champion in waiting! And of course you could make a case that she only got that opportunity because of who she married and his employers relationship to Williams at the time. Like Vicky Henderson they just aren't up to it, but like to think its because they're a woman.

4 podiums in F3 over 5 years!
7 years in DTM and 4 points!

2 words when it comes to women in motorsport who would deserve an honour like this (if she was a Brit of course)

Never won a race in all of her post karting career. Yes an ideal candidate for a gong nevertheless because she err umm ... got lucky marrying Toto thus getting the occasional outing in a Williams. Still Paul Collingwood got one for scoring 7 runs against the Aussies in the 05 Ashes series so we shouldn't be surprsed that another underachiever has been rewarded.

My old manager only got the position because she took up another position with the former site manager...

But of course in her mind she only got the job because she was the best possible candidate. There was no advertised vacancy and no other applicants of course. This wasn't the first time he'd promoted a woman to a good job after he had spent time with them...

Oh yes, her. Renault's 'Development Driver'.

What was it her ex team mate said? "She couldn't develop a roll of film, let alone an F1 car"?

Did she ever actually get to drive the car?

Think she raised some blood pressures but that's about it.
