I have a 3 day family ticket for the F1 at Silverstone this year and am Camping at Woodlands.

I'll be going on Thursday to set up camp and will probably stay.

The wife and kids now wont be able to join me untill Saturday afternoon rather than coming Friday evening as planned.

Would someone else be able to use the adult ticket on the Friday as a mate would like to come along and watch practice.

If the tickets are still like previous years then I believe so, yes.

Each ticket has 3 'tear-off' strips, one for each day.

Your friends produces one of your tickets on friday and that tear-off is taken from the ticket.

He then gives the rest back to you.

Check that the tickets haven't changed though, but that's what used to happen.

Someone who's been recently will probably confirm this soon.

Cheers,

The other thing to consider is if your wife is coming down in a separate car you many want to make the camp site marshals aware when they're parking you up.

In the past few years they have parked the cars up bumper to boot along the rows (like cars parked on the road side if that makes sense). Obviously you need to leave a gap for the extra car.

Cheers. We have a parking ticket for the main car parks too. Which is where she is intending to park. I'll check to see if she can park at the campsite too.

Do your wife and children have camping tickets too ??? At woodland the camping tickets get turned into wrist bands. No wrist band no access to the site (or at least that's the theory)

They don't like you leaving your car in the car parks over night either. I've seen people doing it in the past, but with the current terror level I can see them been a bit twitchy about it this year.

If you've all got camping tickets and a parking pass, i'd sell (or try to refund) the parking pass. Unless of course to the worlds laziest person and want to drive the 100 meters to the car park from the camp site LOL

Yes. We got a 3 day family ticket which includes parking each day and separately camping at Woodlands. Which I believe is from Wednesday with on site parking.

Think i've worked out my own nonsense. smile

Basically i've checked the tickets... The thing I normally only do on the Wednesday morning before the event. The language they use when describing the tickets has changed so now the car pass for the campsite is a car park pass. 35 years of attending the grand prix and i've learnt something new.

So you'll be fine getting 2 cars in there if you've both got passes. Just ask to leave space for the extra car arriving later in the week as I said earlier. You could randomly park the second car where ever but i'd worry about the security of it (they do have tent and car break ins). It'll make sense when you get there providing we dont have a biblical amount of rain. If so they'll dump all the cars in 1 field and make you lug all your kit to the campsite as happened a few years back. Wasnt fun!
