Hi there i was looking for some help from the forum experts. I recently purchased an oz racing wheel on ebay from a seller stating that it is an ex manor f1 magensium rear wheel. It certainly has a manor "16" sticker on it. Attached are some pictures. Hoping to turn it into a table in the mancave. I picked it up for what i think is a great price (£100) cheers.

Don’t know if genuine but at £100, does it matter? Looks cool.

Most likely is as there was a liquidation sale recently and they had a lot of wheels for sale.

The more I look at it, I think it could be a GP2 wheel.

I think Manor used App Tech wheels.

Have a look at some of the pictures here http://www.gordonbrothers.co.uk/insights/case-stud...

I picked up a RB7 wheel (Webber) a few years back for £30, so you certainly get the real deal for not much money.

It is rediculously light, all the weight is the tyre they strap onto it!

Yeah, I thought GP2 also. The centre hole looks too small to be an F1 wheel to me - F1 hubs tend to be much bigger. I couldn't remember which wheels they used in the last couple of years, but I remember they were on BBS in the first few years.

GP2 wheels are the same size as F1, if it's any consolation, so no one need ever know.

With apologies to Save Ferris, who I meant to quote instead...

I'm fairly sure its Formula Renault, or at least the same type used in Formula Renault.

It could be GP3 as Manor had a GP3 team for quite a while.

OP, if you can measure the width and diameter I can tell you if it's GP3 or GP2/F1 size.

Wheel is 14 in diameter and 13 in wide if that helps. Its magnesium and has a 13 date stamp and manor 16 on it if that helps!

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't F1 wheels 13 inches in diameter?

The tyre bead is less than the diameter. That's a 13" wheel.

I made the same mistake a while ago - same logic applies to road wheels. A 16" wheel is about 17" diameter on the tape measure.

That makes sense.

That's not a 2016 Manor F1 wheel. The valvestem is in the wrong place. Compare:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/content/dam/formula-1/2...

Compare with GP2. That looks like a GP2 wheel. https://www.motorsport.com/fia-f2/news/gp2-won-t-f...

Not much help but I have a Force India race used wheel I got signed by the Hulk, Chico, Damon Hill and Herbert at Silverstone. I keep it on my desk at work, they're great memorabilia
