With the terrible news the Bernie has sabotaged F1, with no free to air UK coverage after this year, what are your plans ?

Ignore F1 - which I managed to do fairly successfully in 2017.

The plan is working Bernie.

I won't be watching, I like F1 but not at Sky prices

Gone are the days I’m bothered about watching the races live I will make do with not live highlights or repeats whatever is available that’s not on sky.

Rather watch a kids roundabout (prefer ladybirds) than F1 these days. If it is not the dull racing it is overhyped dorks they call drivers. All silly hats and earrings or just with the personality of a very dull turtle with too much hair gell.

Like 90% of British viewers, if it’s on telly I’ll watch it, if it’s not, I won’t.

I wish I liked the Sky coverage more as I’d certainly pay for it if I did. The team don’t work for me. Instead I’ll probably watch highlights unless I have nothing to do while the live race is on in which case I’ll get a nowTV day pass.

An F1 thread on a motorsport forum which everyone clicked on, yet everyone ignores F1 🧐

Premium sports are no longer free, football hasn’t been for 20 years. Stop moaning about it.

There is still plenty of live football on free to air TV and even the Premiership and the rest of the league is available free to air in highlights packages - so even hard up football fans can keep abreast of what's going on without having to pay through the nose.

If F1 survives on FTA in a highlights package (much as it used to be back in the late 1970s), that will be good enough for me.

I have to say that whenever I have listened to live BBC radio commentary, it always sounds far more exciting than live TV.

In my mind the cars are wheel to wheel, nip and tuck, all the race.

As they say, the pictures are always better on radio.

I like listening on the radio too...way better than seeing on TV.

If there are channel 4 highlights with the Whisper team, I'll watch. I'm not paying to watch the Sky coverage, I can see why people like it but it's not for me.

It'll be the first season I don't watch in 30 years. frown

Then you have the option of tunnelling into another country via a VPN and watching F1's new on demand service, possibly on mute with BBC radio commentary over the top?

Can't see anybody moaning on this thread. Like others I'm interested in F1 but not willing to pay the price or give up a chunk of my weekend to watch it. I usually listen on the radio whilst out on a long run if it's a Sunday afternoon race.

I get F1 as part of my HD subscription. I would not be prepared to pay extra for Sky Sports to watch it. Probably would not bother with highlights shows either.
I would perhaps pay a little extra if Sky had a motor sport channel. I’m sure they don't understand that many motor sport enthusiasts have little interest in other sports.

We're the same. If we didn't have it through the old HD package we wouldn't pay the £18ish a month just for F1 channel.
