Wonder who owns it now. Whilst its in a mess whoever takes it on would almost certainly strip out all the ceiling, cabling, partitioning etc so the cost of fixing it isnt much more than it would have been anyway but its so off putting to potential occupiers.

It's not like Caterham have a long and distinguished history in F1. The same factory was also previously the home of Super Aguri and Arrows.

Applied for planning to convert to resi, refused twice, latest 2015 I think. Was being marketed by BNP Paribas for sale but seemingly no longer available so assume it has sold.

Some of the mess may not be vandalism - some (from this video, and from posts on 28dayslater) looks quite deliberate (one hammer blow per pane of fire glass, for instance) - perhaps just enough to put the building "beyond use" so as to avoid empty business rates? Hard to tell. What is definitely depressing is that the right offer of the right rent could have got that site thriving as a hub for startups before it was trashed...
