It was heartbreaking to listen to Harry’s father on the radio earlier. Well done to Mercedes for doing such a wonderful thing and for bringing attention to childhood cancer.

An incredible gesture by those involved.

Lewis is far more than just an F1 driver, I see him making quite a positive impact on many lives.

We hosted at McLaren back in the late 90's a number of terminally ill children on 'closed' factory visits for the Make a Wish Foundation. Helmets, steering wheels, race engines and behind the scenes wee all open with Ron often popping down to greet the families and do whatever was needed to help these ill children smile. These gestures can make a huge difference to a dying child.

Yes, an amazing and very moving gesture for a boy in his last few days. What an awful time for all involved, so this will have given them a brief respite from it all. Bravo.

I’m not the biggest Hamilton fan, but that shows him in a new light.

How devastating for the family. Well done to Mercedes for such a nice gesture and to have left the family with such a positive memory during those last few weeks.

Ooh, that's hard.

That was a fantastic thing to do by both Lewis and Merc, terrific to just drop the car off in the back of that small truck.

I really am beginning to think that this Merc F1 team is possibly the greatest team to grace F1. I'm so chuffed that they're based in the UK, in Brackley.

I think I'm gonna have to buy a Merc.
