Is anyone listening to the Beyond the Grid Podcast?

Its truly excellent and there are nuggets in each episode that haven't been in the public domain before, for example, Jean Alesi describes how Nelson Piquet negotiated his first Ferrari contract for him.

Its a real link to the emotional side of the sport in a lot of the interviews and gives a good technical insight in others. Its really well put together and worth going back to listen to all the old episodes.

Alan Jones and Jean Alesi are two standout ones for me and a shout for the Sergio Perez one too, Tom Clarkson is a superb interviewer in this format too, he says just enough to keep the interviewee talking without intruding.

Well worth a listen, let me know your favourite bits as I haven't gone all the way back yet.

I haven't heard one bad one yet. The Claire Williams one was a little emptier than I expected perhaps. It's an excellent production and a very good way to allow important figures in the sport time to open up and have a sensible, interesting talk about their role.

Both the BTG podcasts and the Netflix series have both been excellent really.

I think some people are already discussing it in another thread. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
