Sorry gents a rather shallow question. I am looking for some fine dining on the Friday night of F1. Any ideas? On track would be brill.

If it’s any race other than the British GP most local restaurants will do good.

Not only shallow, but hilariously incomplete!

I'm local, so maybe able to help (no I'm not cooking for you hehe)

How fine are we talking? Good pub, or 7 course tasting menu?

Actually in the venue, and around the track - I think you need to look at the various hospitality packages on offer: https://www.silverstone.co.uk/hospitality/the-ulti...

I very much doubt that at the British GP you're going to find true fine dining... But probably as close as you will get whilst having a view of the track.

The packages do look very expensive, especially on Sunday of course. You could probably fly to a more exotic GP and get a generally same/better quality of food around the track for less if you plan ahead.

I have never read anything regards vaguely good food in relation to the British Grand Prix...usually quote the opposite and my experiences there have not informed me otherwise. The on-site offerings are very average compared to most other races and are nowhere near the quality of Italy (pretty good) or Japan (fantastic). There may be something half-decent served trackside in hospitality but you'll likely feel rather disgruntled at paying such prices for what you end up with if food is of any focus at all.

Knowing this I would be rather tempted to make my own fantastic picnic beforehand, take it into the venue, eat it accompanied by a bottle of fizz bought from one of the bars. I have done similar in the past and didn't regret it whilst seeing what others were eating from the various stalls.

Your other alternative is to venture into the Northampton/Milton Keynes area where there are plenty of places with good reputations.
