So was he the problem or just a scapegoat for the Williams F1 situation?
I have a feeling that Claire Williams is out of her depth at this level and he was unfortunately used as a scapegoat.
Surely can't go from multiple championship winning Mercedes team to Williams and fail that bad?

Paddy Lowe was never an Aerodynamicist or a mechanical engineer. He started at Williams as an Electrical engineer developing the active suspension.....
My guess is that at McLaren and at Mercedes there was enough depth of experience in the design teams that he just had to rubber stamp designs and the general approach to the car's design. Not dissing the guy because he's obviously a very important member of the teams and also very experienced.
I just think he was out of depth when he was in charge of everything, without the depth of knowledge he had to support him in the other teams. Claire Williams is another member of the team out her depth... she needs to be replaced..... Never worked out how she got the role and her elder brother was overlooked. Wonder what he did wrong?

I wonder if they will insist on him going on gardening leave so no other team can share in the secrets of their success?
I have a feeling this 3 months was his gardening leave in effect so he will now be free to join any other F1 team.Maybe Racing Point as they need the help and have the funding now and run Mercedes engines?

Frank has two sons doesn't he, the one who looks after the heritage side and another one who's had a successful career in running/managing at some level junior formula teams, how did Claire (nice as she comes across) get the job?Norfolkit said:
