I feel like they have been but it must be very tough to get serious US$ investment in a team when the investor will know they're up against the UK F1 factory machine and Ferrari, all with at least 70 years experience. A US team also can't really have a UK factory - American labor laws, national pride, insurance and legal process makes that arrangement awfully complicated.Best we could potentially get is another HAAS type outfit I think - and that's had at best mixed results.
