The tv coverage was a bit lacking. I don't think Coulthard was happy at letting rons favourite son win.

In this race we saw Sauber helping Ferrari and McLaren and Williams engineering the result. Are there any other examples of this kind of thing?

From what I remember Mika wasn't exactly happy about the result either. I'm sure there's an interview somewhere where he basically says he classes his first win as Aus 98
