They have been asked about two GP's on one week end or back to back week ends.... It brings to my mind when GP's had F3000 races as 'support' races and the F3000 races were frequently better than the main event.... Any thoughts??

There have been many times in the modern era that F2/GP2 races have been more entertaining than the F1 race. That's what spec series will do, especially at tracks that usually have big field spread in F1 like Monza. Spec series cars can usually follow the car in front a lot easier.

7 of the 10 teams are on the doorstep, makes sense that Silverstone should be the first and obvious choice to make up the numbers in such a fraught season. It's historic and frankly cheaper for most of the teams.

Horrifically the second most logical choice is Paul Ricard.. but at a time of global crisis I can't bare to contemplate two races at that turd hole.

Double header at Monza and Imola ,they're not that far apart.

Run off at Imola isn't big in a lot of place though.

Or Misano or Mugello.....not fussy.

there are plenty of spec series out there. What adds tot eh interest of f1 is when a driver in a slightly slower car is battleing a better car but maybe not so good a driver. It adds another level of interest for me.
