Oh no - I know some people who can do that for us, whilst simultaneously improving the content interest of the main LH thread by, and this is a conservative estimate, about a squillion percent.

I would be more angry at rich people living in a country to avoid paying loads of tax, if it weren't for the gobstes we've elected in this country (regardless of party) spaffing money on daft st.

The point of this thread is to provide a dedicated place to discuss the tax affairs of LH. Which ought to free up the actual LH thread from tedious, boring, convoluted arguments. So yeah, we need it.

Avoid paying tax how? You pay tax in the country you live in not the one where your mother happened to be when she popped you out.

Why do we need Hamilton threads at all, would be much better if PH closed them, unless of course some of you know him personally and he has shared details of his employment and tax affairs with you, anything else is speculation.

Agree! Problem is that there are some dullards who just keep regurgitating the same old carp to justify their sneering dislike of Hamilton, hence others (guilty as charged) feel the urge to challenge them on it smile.

Sir Jackie Stewart
Jim Clark
Michael Schumacher
Vettel
Riakonnen
Alonso

all lived in Switzerland to avoid tax

Stewart Racing was registered in Jersey to avoid paying tax

Coulthard
Button
Hunt
Rosberg
Hakkinen
Hill
Mansell
Senna
Piquet
Lauda
Scheckter
Andretti

amongst others have lived in Monaco to avoid paying tax

....how many of you have complained about them?.....go on, il wait.

The hypocrisy by some on here is astounding.

Even more astounding when, if you look in a mirror, have you ever questioned how your savings, investments or pension are handled???

No??? you just look at the end results and see your bank balance or pension pot increase....have a hard look in a mirror, because i bet a good chunk of it is invested offshore, and is involved in some sort of tax avoidance scheme.

You've missed the point. I don't care what he's doing.

The whole idea of someone avoiding tax is bullshine considering the money being spaffed on daft stuff or to the friends of the idiots we've elected.

So few people seem to understand the difference between tax evasion and tax avoidance. And it always seems to be stirred up by our tabloid press who have no qualms about taking the moral high ground whilst sitting on a total ethical vacuum. That's those papers that are VAT exempt themselves by the way.

All those nasty people offsetting salaries into pension pots, or running low CO2 cars or buying biscuits without chocolate on them to lower their tax burden. Dirty tax dodgers! Am I doing this right?

Agreed

Tax Evasion = Illegal
Tax Avoidance = Legal

Avoidance isnt really avoidance at all, its simply using tax laws correctly. Everyone can do it, and everyone is legally allowed to do it. Problem is, because most dont understand the law they just subscribe to click bait and start frothing at the mouth.

Does anyone in their right mind, think that Lewis would have got away with anything so dodgy, given the high profile nature of his cases over the last few years, even more so now hes been nominated for a Knighthood.

Given how strict the selection process is, id have thought it was the first thing that was checked

Yep, & Reach Plc - own the Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, The Sunday People, Daily Express, Sunday Express, Daily Star, Daily Star Sunday as well as the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail - so covering all the "wind up the masses" bases, like some sort of badger baiting circle jerk.
