Apologies if there's already another topic for him. I wasn't sure about him initially but I just wanted to dedicate a topic to this thoroughly decent and impressive young man. I really admire how he's bounced back from being dumped out of Red Bull. He's driving beautifully right now and getting some very respectable results.

Agreed and seems a really nice, humble guy too.

I like him more for having the fortitude to still clearly be focussed and fast after a very difficult time at Red Bull. I love a comeback story, me.

Yeh he seems to be on the way up again. Problem is where does he go? No space at Mercedes, Ferrari or RBR.

There are rumours of his moving to Renault, which would suit them fine as the French national team in effect. The issue is where that leaves their current line up.

One thing's for certain, he and Ocon had a massive falling out some years ago and no longer speak.

Any idea what the fallout between he and Ocon was about? A move to Alpine would make sense...guessing he'll want out of the RB stable after the way they treated him in 2019.

Gasly said Ocon crossed the line when he cut a corner to intentionally punt him off, I think it was back in their karting days rather than single seaters.

It was discussed in his Beyond The Grid podcast interview. Although they used to be close, it seemed the French kids split up, Ocon socialising with Leclerc and Gasly with Hubert.

You'd have to ask if it would be beneficial to go anywhere. The AlphaTauri is no slouch, it's a race winning team that seems to be getting better all the time.

Yep there is that, if he keeps winning though RBR wont like it. Wonder if they have a red button to kill his car.

Despite which team they drive for, all the red bull drivers are contracted to red bull, none are specifically Alfa Touri drivers.

That could of course, mean that in the long run he has a shot at the big team again-only he knows if that might not ever be a possibility.

In the medium term, Hamilton isn’t going to go on forever, neither is Vettel, nor Perez.

He’s probably as well staying where he is and waiting for the next round of musical chairs-2022 -‘23.

It is interesting that you could put him the second Red Bull and you wouldn't be surprised if he was slower around the lap than he is in the AT.

Would imagine next season is musical chairs again, especially at Mercedes. Ferrari and RBR likely to keep their pairings.

He seems to have the right stuff, to take the knocks he has and keep fighting back. Impressive. And he seems like a really nice guy too.
