I was there on Friday and had my first experience with thew current V6 hybrids.
I thought they sounded terrific, quite frankly. The TV really doesn't portray the sound of them at all well, sadly.
They’re a brilliant guttural sound. I know some miss the sheer volume of the pre hybrid cars, but these sound fab.I thought they sounded terrific, quite frankly. The TV really doesn't portray the sound of them at all well, sadly.
Someone may be able to answer this.
I noticed over the weekend at the FoS, that the Red Bull RB7 (2011) didn't have any 'Powered by Renault' logos on it, instead it has a 'Honda e-power' (or similar).
Why's that? I know they fell out with Renault, but it was the entire package that won the championship that year, and presumably its still the Renault V8 in the back of the car. Don't Renault have a say in this?
(I know that Honda is obviously their current provider).
I wonder if they've replaced any other old sponsors with current ones also..hmm!

The show car is kept up to date with the current livery, it's used for various events around the world as a marketing tool so probably contractually it must be up to date (as in part of the contract with the sponsors).I noticed over the weekend at the FoS, that the Red Bull RB7 (2011) didn't have any 'Powered by Renault' logos on it, instead it has a 'Honda e-power' (or similar).

The car on the wall of the entrance to reception is also kept up to date, including driver number etc.
