Alfa are more likely to pay him the big bucks he's become accustomed to over the last few years. There's nothing to say that Williams was ever an option for Bottas anyway, and they may have completely different plans already.Also, I think if you leave a company for something bigger and better then falling back to the first company when you get laid off cements the feeling of failure rather than moving on to somewhere new.

He's been around for so long! - most race starts of any driver ever (though Alonso isn't that far behind). I was surprised at his motivation for trundling around in the Alfa after he left Ferrari but he must have got something out of it! (Leave me alone, I know what I'm doing etc!)
