Betfair has Lewis as the favourite - some of which will be because they see him as having the momentum, but some more is likely to be the weight of British money backing him.

As a neutral, we've had a great season and I've got no horse in the race on who I want to win.

Aslong as anyone doesn't do anything silly, it has to be Hamilton I think.

They've both made mistakes, and both have had some good and bad luck (Not a discussion for here!). Mercedes and Hamilton have been the better team in the second half of the season.

Let's hope who ever doesn't win, is gracious in defeat and we don't end up with some stupid controversy going on for days after the race.

I have a gut feeling that Verstappen is going to win, but I don't really know why given that Mecedes/Hamilton have been faster recently, especially looking at race pace.

If I had to guess as to the outcome, it would be that Verstappen qualifies on pole, Hamilton has the faster car in the race, Mercedes fail to get an undercut so Hamilton has to pass on track and then Verstappen side-swipes him when he tries leading to neither driver finishing the race.

I just want it decided fairly on track, and not in the stewards room afterwards.

unlikely, Merc aren't even gracious in victory

I just hope if Max wins, the points gap is big enough that the farce at Spa doesn't turn out to have been the deciding factor.

Surely the poll is missing: "Valtteri Bottas: Hamilton and Verstappen excluded from championship after punch up on podium"

I've voted for Max as I'm envisaging a repeat of 1989, 1990, 1994 or 1997

MV has shown consistent excellent driving skills this season, interspersed with dark patches of red mist. Last race he had 4 penalties and RB complained about everything including the officials (again). On the basis that RB have collectively lost their heads, I think LH will win.

If I were Domenicali, I would be telling all teams now that any driver predominately to blame for a race ending incident risks wipe out of season points.

The pressure is certainly getting to RB, max looked physically shaken, scared, pale and star eyed after the last race like he knew he’d snatched defeat from jaws of victory. Their management is on a bullsh** deflection overdrive too. We’ll see come Sunday, RB will be rapid but we’ve seen Merc have great race pace, composure and better driver. Exciting times

MV has shown speed and recklessness this year, not excellent driving skills. Don't forget he even managed to touch wheels with Mick S when lapping him. He has no other overtaking tool than 'go for it, they will get out of the way or crash'. That is a long way from skill.

Has to be LH44 for me, but there's an ominous quote by MV33 from couple years ago when he said, 'why not'? he would do the same as others have done before (Senna, Shumacker). I really hope he doesn't.

Gone for Hamilton but that is because i think it will be decided in the stewards room by disqualification of Verstappen.

Honestly never thought I would be supporting Hamilton but here we go!

Voted for Lewis because I think (hope) that many, if not all of Max's misdemeanours have been spur-of-the-moment stuff and not a pre-meditated plan. I think his wayward actions are a sign of the pressure he's under and when he's losing (or at risk of losing), desperation creeps in. Vettel was often the same, pulling off some questionable moves. I really can't see Max deliberately crashing into Lewis, as the telemetry from the car would undoubtedly prove his guilt and surely the FIA would take action to DQ him and take enough points off him to allow Lewis to win the WDC

I'm hoping that Mercedes and Lewis will pull out one of those other-wordly weekends where the the entire team works in perfect harmony and delivers a perfect response to Red Bull's shenanigans, by beating them on track, not off it.

However, I fear I'm living in la-la land and that RB will find a way of scuppering Lewis, initially through screwing with qualifying (Tsunoda / Gasly "crash" in the last three minutes of Q3, just after Max has got provisional pole?). On race day, with Lewis on the second row, one of the Alpha Tauris, cocks up the braking point into turn 1 and barrels into the side of the Merc. Job done.

Regardless - it's a cliff-hanger, which can only be good for sport generally. Not good for blood pressure though - can you imagine what it must be like for the people actually working for the two teams?

I would say he's shown consistent red mist, interspersed with light patches of fast driving.
