Well the Scuderia are certainly not happy about how things played out for Carlos Jr at the end of the last race. He was in 3rd place and didn’t get the lapped cars in front of him cleared out of the way, so he spent the last lap fighting blue flags rather than going after the two cars in front of him. ... Either that, or he's going for Président de la République instead!

But either way, the thing to make Mercedes and Ferrari happy, and to help the FIA save face... is definitely to sling Masi under the bus and appoint someone new. We'll just gloss over the fact that Masi, for all his faults, is still the best trained person for the role - also we can ignore the likelihood that his replacement will be subject to the exact same pressures to support 'the show'. He has to go though imo, that last race was just too much of a howler even for modern F1, and it had his name on it.. bye.

Sounds intriguing. Is there anywhere online where the story is told? I know someone with a classic Ferrari but I can't imagine why they'd be a party to information which wasn't readily available online, unless by "classic Ferrari owners" you mean those among the privileged minority who own 250GTOs and the like and are very well connected.LM240 said:
