Round 20 and we’re back to Mexico, not always the best racing here but the stadium section is cool. Max won last year, and it will likely be the same again; if he does then he wins the most races in a single season. The circuit will go nuts for Perez, regardless.

Other than that, it will be interesting to see if McLaren can close the gap on Alpine, on recent form you’d think not. Russell could use a good qualifying session.

Here’s to a great race.

Date(s): Friday 28 October to Sunday 30 October 2022.

Just looking at the WCC table at the bottom, what a disappointment AT have been this year. Surely will be sold in the near future.

Perez for the win, if Red Bull can find a way to engineer it.

Not a chance with max gunning for the record of most wins in a season.

Not sure I would class them as "wins". RBR have really stuffed Max...

Would be good if Perez can win this on merit - I can't see Max ever helping out a team mate. (Although I could be proven wrong)

Ferrari to completely implode.

Quite. That 2-3am (in my time zone) qualifying last weekend was about the worst hour possible.

Do they still do the Pirelli Sombreros on the podium?

Hard to see anything other than a RB/Max win really. Mercs haven't the pace, Ferrari have the pace but seem keen to throw all away, then lets just say RB seem very lucky with decisions this year wink

Ferrari can’t make their tyres last, Mercedes’ can’t heat them up.

Obviously there’s an awful lot more to it than that but that’s about the top and bottom of it.

Is that map right? The DRS detection and implementation zones don’t look right?

I voted for Perez. I don't rate him very highly, and certainly not on the same planet as his teammate, but I think if he can be helped to a home win it would be a feel-good story, so perhaps in some way he will get that help.

Mercedes can’t make them last either. At least that was the case last weekend when his hard tyres went off quicker than Max’s mediums.

Not sure, F1 is getting more and more WWF, so perhaps for 'the show' something will be done to assist him.

I think Austin was an outlier/anomaly and even Max was having to manage his tyres.

Merc struggle to heat up there tyres and its shows up on restarts when it takes a few laps to get to race pace but have been able to do longer stints on mediums than rivals.

Thanks for the tread again PiaP, last race was OK, let's hope this one is OK, no doubt there will be more cost cap questions for RB, a possible win for Perez if they want the feel-good factor, or MV will just sail off into the distance.....

Thanks Coopers. It will be bye bye Max I think, the track looks to be built for the RB18.
