2024 schedule

Just looked at the 2024 schedule. The first two races are on a Saturday!

Saudi is on Saturday to avoid Ramadan which starts on the Sunday. There's also a rule that there must be a minimum of seven days between races, which then forces the race in Bahrain to be on Saturday the weekend before.

Yes, they don’t want to be in Saudi during Ramadan. It will be an issue for the next couple of seasons as well, so there will need to be some creative scheduling. I think Bahrain will be okay, they’re not quite as strict there.

The Las Vegas race is also on Saturday evening , starts at 10pm local time.
