I think it’s fair play to go after individuals, who took unrealistically massive amounts of money to shill for FTX - but their sports sponsorships were simply your standard sports sponsorships, money in exchange for logos and some free tickets. That said, there’s a lot of wealthy people who lost serious amount of cash in FTX, so there’s going to be a decade or more of lawsuits aimed at anyone who ever dealt with them.
Their ‘celebrity marketing’ budget was $1bn over time.

And yes, a whole load of politicians. SBF himself was the second-biggest donor (behind Soros) to the Democrats in 2022, and another IFX executive was a large Republican donor in the same year.
