We all know that voting for 1st place is well covered, realistically its mostly going to be Max for the foreseeable. Piginapoke does a bang up job of the F1 event threads and has stuck to having who is going to finish second. But really the interesting and much harder prediction is, who will finish 5th at any given event? Sadly PH limits polls to just 10 options so I have personally hand picked your available choices (obvious candidates plus a couple of wild cards). So PH F1 fans, who do you thing will finish 5th this weekend? If it is successful and everyone enjoys it I will try and get a poll sorted for each event.

is this the race where Webber scored the last point in 6th in a Minardi? If so anything could happen.

Piastri for 5th

Verstappen to lap the entire field apart from P2, P3.

And half the TV audience to fall asleep by lap 30!

Half the TV audience is likely just about waking up by Lap 30, unaware that this year’s race is an hour earlier than last year’s race. If you’re in Europe the start is 4am, two hours’ earlier, as the clocks are a week later going forward. Many are going to tune in at 6am and watch the podium instead of the start.

Guessing 5th place is essentially trying to rank the cars and drivers. Mercedes had a shocker of a ‘23 season but Lewis was 2nd here, so it’s possible they may overperform and the money should be on a Ferrari for 5th. On the other hand, last year’s race was very chaotic at the end, and anything could have happened. Well done to @geeks for the idea of this thread.

My entry: George Russell.

Voting is interesting so far smile Norris has experienced a surge this afternoon. Alonso (who was my vote) is also up there, I am surprised not a single vote for the Ferraris there

I'm going for Russel as well.

Red bull first and second, with Ferrari/Mercedes/McLaren battling it out for the the rest.

I've gone for Sainz assuming he's recovered. Two Red Bulls, Leclerc and Norris ahead of him.

Fun poll thumbup

We're assuming Perez remains on early season form then!

At least one person believes in Albon. Can't blame them he is certainly on form, not sure the car is on form enough but as someone else said the last race ended in a really weird fashion so who knows!

Interesting that no-one at all has gone for Leclerc, presumably everyone’s assuming that if he finishes it will be on the podium?

The polling has increased in sample size. Still no believers in Stroll, I can only assume you all think he will be on the podium then hehe

Also no votes for CLC, does this mean we think he'll be on the podium or in for an early bath having spread his down the wall?

It's all an intrigue

Hard to imagine how that can happen without it being a much more interesting race than I'm expecting smile

Well Perez is looking rather 5th at the moment, and he wasn’t even on the list!
