Apologies this is a bit later than usual- just back from a couple of days cycling in 30 degrees .exhausting!

We re onto Austria where you may remember Lando and Max had their coming together last year, allowing George to win- the highlights are well worth a watch. This should be another McLaren circuit, but Mercedes has clearly taken a step with its new rear suspension and Red Bull and Max are never slow here. It will be very, very close I think.

Oscar is clearly in charge of the championship now but I think Lando for the win-he s been lightening here in the past.

Here s to a great race.

Date(s): Friday 27 June to Sunday 29 June 2025.

UK Broadcast Timings (and track time)

All sessions are live on Sky F1. Channel 4 is showing highlights of Qualifying and the Race.

Legendary lurking, and you've wasted one of them on an edit! biggrin

Thanks, PIAP.
I'll go for Lando too, as he desperately needs a re-set. This is one of his favourite circuits, so I hope he goes well.

Let's hope for no safety cars, eh? wink

I'll go with "ESTEEMED", but am fully prepared to be corrected.

Prime posts PiaP as always, ya lightweight laugh. I dream of 30 degrees, Campagnolo gears and a downhill - as I get out of the shower, dry off and start sweating in 34 degrees, and before I turn the fking bathroom door handle!

Lovage anyways!!

To a good'un!!

George has a first corner bump with max, the mclarens take each other out, antonelli and leclerc have botched pit stop strategies and Lewis beats tsunoda to the top step

Thanks PiaP smile

Back to Europe and home RBR race. Expect to see a very punchy Max and maybe a little support from Yuki. However the hard racing with nemesis George will continue, which might be awkward for Toto whose diplomacy in not slagging Max explains the dithering on contracts for MB #1 seat in 2026.

Charles to surprise us with a much needed Ferrari win.

Thanks for the thread PiaP, I’m going with a McLaren win, with one of them not finishing again, Ferrari need to start listening to their drivers, MV will be there or there a-bouts, but there will be some controversy with a move or two.

Lets hope for a more interesting race than last time out.

Thanks PiaP. Good work as usual.

Are you sure about the Channel 4 listing?

Merc and Max should do well enough to pressure both McLaren drivers - on that basis I would guess Piastri will finish higher than Lando, even if he doesn't win.

I think that this race could be Max’s; RB car at the Red Bull Ring

I guessed correctly last week, I suspected the Merc would perform well on a cool track. I think he is in with a good chance at Silverstone, as well.

Before the start of the season, I thought this year would be Oscar’s WDC. I still see nothing to change that opinion.

It wasn't RB's last year of course.

The car is every bit as fast overall as any other on the grid. However, each of the top three has advantages at certain circuits, in certain conditions. It's trying to work out which are most influential that's the problem.

Feels like ikm saying the same thing every race at the moment - hard to look past another McL win. Fancy Lando to bounce back strong here, but if he drops another bk, the pressure’s only going to ramp up heading to Silverstone... history suggests that might not be ideal for the lad.

Going for Piastri myself, unfortunately Norris has shown time and time again he just can't handle the pressure and TBH in general he just seems to be lacking that final thing required to be WC material. As much as I'm not a particular fan of his, I'd like to see him best Piastri, I just don't see it happening to though.

If you're not a fan of Lando why would you like to see him beat Piastri? Are you not a Lando fan but even more not a Piastri fan?..

just curious smile
