I’m just putting this out there with no further comment, in case it gets you rushing to your local friendly bookseller. Wouldn’t want you to miss out!

Just Drive: An F1 Omegaverse , by Devyn Sinclair.

Being the first female Formula 1 driver in the sport’s history is like being struck by lightning. Powerful, electrifying, and dangerous. Don’t get me wrong, it’s incredible. Plenty of racing fans are celebrating. Plenty more are enraged, hoping I either quit or crash. They can hope all they want. I’ll never quit. But there’s more than Formula 1 fans to worry about. Like shaking hands with my Team Principal for the first time and his scent turning my entire world upside down. Like the rest of his pack including the current Formula 1 champion matching with me too. One breath, and we belong to each other, body and soul. In their arms I’m more than just a racer. I’m an Omega. I’m safe with them. For the first time, I can be what my designation craves instead of what my sport demands. Soft, spoiled, pleasured, and loved. Their fierce desire to win is only matched by one thing their passion for me. But the rookie Omega in a pack with her boss, the champion, and her crew is a PR disaster of global proportions, and I won’t be the only one with a target on my back. If the five us want to make it through the racing season? No one can ever know.[/i]

So it's about Maria Teresa de Filippis in 1959 then?

The illustration needs a bit of work.

It's one of those soft porn novels for women, isn't it? Lady driver does half the grid and then beats them on the track type of thing?

Why would any F1 fans be enraged and hope she'd crash or quit - sounds like our heroine has a chip on her shoulder laugh

It all sounds a bit dated tbh. The scent of the TP!?

Good to see such an appetite for this kind of stuff on here, and why not! Canada is still a fortnight away so we’ve got to do something I guess.

Following some dedicated research into the subject, I see that not only ”USA Today bestselling” author Devyn Sinclair is carving out a niche in the F1 fantasy novel genre, but fellow published serious journalist ”New York Times bestselling author” Sawyer Bennet has written their own take on intrigue in the F1 world.

[quote]
Welcome to Formula International, where legends are born and speed is king. From New York Times Bestselling Author Sawyer Bennett comes the Race Fever series, set within the fast-paced and dangerous world of formula racing.Posey Evans is looking to take her career as a romance author to the next level, shifting from historical love stories to writing about the high stakes world of formula racing. Wanting to immerse herself in the sport, Posey manages to secure full access to the Crown Velocity Racing team by faking credentials as a journalist. When she’s granted unlimited face-to-face time with one of the teams’ best drivers, Posey is equal parts elated and terrified because while she’s getting exactly what she wants, she can’t afford to have her secret exposed.Lex Hamilton lives for the thrill of being one of the fastest and most decorated race car drivers in the sport. When he’s behind the wheel, he’s focused on one thing and one thing only–earning top spot on the podium. But off the track? Let’s just say his extracurricular activities have put him on a very short leash with the team management at Crown Velocity. He’s cocky, handsome, dripping with swagger, and not super happy to have what he considers a babysitter following his every move. Lex’s unwillingness to help doesn’t deter Posey but when he uncovers her secret, they strike a deal–he won’t reveal her truth if she helps him stay out of trouble and keep his job. While many women would swoon at his feet, Posey isn’t interested in anything more than Lex’s racing knowledge. Mostly. As the season inches closer and passions ignite, time at the track leads to time in the bed. Having agreed there is an expiration date on their arrangement, what started as an assignment has the potential to go the distance as their physical relationship builds into something deeper. But when her secret is revealed, will Lex and Posey’s relationship hit a wall, or will this fling find its way to the checkered flag?
