What would happen if...

...3 cars, all in seperate lanes (on a 3 lane carriageway) all went through one fixed speed camera at exactly the same time, all doing over the speed limit?

Can the camera's take photo's of all 3 lanes at the same time? How would it know which one was doing which speed?

There's probably a really easy answer and I'm missing something basic, but it's just been bugging me!

A normal Gatso is triggerd by the radar but takes 2 pictures a fixed time interval apart, and the speed is then calculated from the road markings, so all 3 would get by that. Not sure how the forward facing ones work though as they don't have the road markings.

Don't they have to refer to the "dragon's teeth" to confirm which vehicle(s) were breaking the speed limit? Same for a faulty camera.

Surely the camera takes a picture of the area of road, not just the single lane that triggers it? Therefore all cars should be visible, with all lanes' road markings (presumably)?
