Evening guys,

This weekend WAS going to be the perfect opportunity to get my wife's run-about changed (probably around £1000 on a Honda CRV)...

...only problem is she's actually away the whole time so she wont be able to come with me to sign the V5.

My only option would be to source the car this weekend and do the deal in the week when she's around. Isn't it? (other than getting the seller to do something dodgy).

Usually, at this price bracket, I like to do the deal and drive away.

Any other options?

Just fill in her details and sign it with her name. Not only do DVLA have nothing to compare her signature to, they don't have the time or inclination to do so.

Hmmm... not sure if I'd be happy with someone buying a car from me and doing that. S'pose there's no harm asking though.

Once she knows your signing it for her and is okay with it, just sign it. smile
