Anyone know why the prefix 'T' (instead of, as well as 'S') was used in Scotland in 2007? (but seemingly only in 2007)

Good year for car sales? scratchchin

There was a complaint made to the Edinburgh DVLA office as SN07 apparently looks like snot.

The DVLA then issued T prefixes as a one time only thing for the whole of Scotland.

HTH.

Was T used for all Scottish offices after it was decided or just Edinburgh? (I had a car that was SB07 originally)

(wonder if they're going to do the same for DU11, coming to a Vauxhall hire car near you)

They changed it so it didn't read SN07??

jeebus - there's so many cars in Newcastle reading NA51, a little too close to Nazi, and surely much worse.

oh, and my old one read N D__ORK. frown

Yep, I saw a business grey Insignia the other day with a DU11 plate, and was amused by the irony

You have to feel sorry for all those that were issued with KN08 plates too - or is this another one that the DVLA decided not to issue?

I know in and around the Midlands BJ08 was issued - I wonder who was lucky enough to get MMM?
