Can wheels be damaged while replacing tyres.
Discussion
Just got the 348 back from having two new rear tyres.
Been in a rush, so didn't check teh wheels closely before hand.
There is a slight 'gouge' around the outside rim of one of the wheels, can't remember if it was there before.
Could the rims be damaged while changing the tyres? I was going to go back in and say something but not sure how you'd prove it..
BTW, they are not a small backstreet garage.

I had a place damage some very new OZ Ultraleggeras (well, one of them). They tried to deny it, but I knew it was them. They reluctantly got it repaired but to say they were unhappy about it was an understatement. They refused to do any work for me after that.
It is hard to prove, but unfortunately seems to happen regularly.

You need to go somewhere like blackboots.co.uk in chesham. they have touchless tyre changers. Your average high street tyre place have kit that can easily damage wheels if not used with great care.
Technically all tyre machines touch the wheel somewhere. I'd put it all down to the operators experience and care. Many tyre fitters are probably young kids doing it for min wage who ultimately don't give a crap. Worrying really, but you pay for what you get with tyre fitting
