Just been doing some stuff in the garden + listening to the radio - during a period of around 90 minutes I must have heard an advert 6 from Seaward Renault in Portsmouth that amongst other things. annoyingly encouraged the listener to pop in for a cup of tea and test drive a Renault.

Can we find 20 PHers that want to take them up on their offer - but not buy a Renault of course.........?

Just about any garage I've ever visited has given me a cup of something when I've been looking at cars, things must be bad if they are having to advertise it!

I got a really nice cup of coffee and a biscuit from a BMW dealer once.

My local dealer have never offered me a drink. I got my company car from them and bought a shed load of parts for other cars over the years. They did however screw up my brakes and then tell me that it was up to me to get the car to them with brake fluid pissing out through their cockup.

Shan't say which dealer it is but needless to say my next company car will be coming from another manufacturer!

I had a mince pie at a SEAT dealers once.

I'd forgotten about that, it was a long time ago when I had my Cupra R.

Plan a route around the dealership, and see who can put in the best time in a Renaultsport Clio or Megane.

I just made a tea, I didn't need to pretend to want to drive a Renault either.

Our local Toyota/VW partnership always has Tea, Coffee, Biscuits and a fridge with softdrinks. I don't mind waiting for a service.

My local Renault dealership didn't give me a cup of tea, can't remember whether one was offered or not though but I would have turned it down.

What would be the point as it'll just waste everyone's time?
