Gripe of the Day: Ignoring filter lane arrows
Discussion
Two locations in particluarl

At the above location there are clear markings indicating straight on and left (left lane) and right (right lane). The left hand lane is routinely used for queue jumping to turn right. If you're not paying attention - or simply not aware that a car may be trying to cram itself into the same lane as you as you make the turn - you may get hit. No doubt the idiot in the wrong lane will be pipping you. As an aside the last car I saw do this had driven right down the bus lane to get to the junction.

This one is a favourite of people who - driving right to left - approach the roundabout in the left lane (left turn arrows) and then go straight on. As their car is to your left you can't see their indicators and often can't deduce their intention until they're cutting you up on a roundabout. Particularly as there's often a queue for straight on and a zebra crossing, so you may be pulling off from standing, where the person in the left lane has not had to stop.

A bit blurry, but the road running North / South has a slight bend at the junction. It also has a turn right filter lane. During rush hour, when I walk past this junction, there is a queue in either direction. This does not apply to some people who go to the front using the right turn lane - often indicating right, then go straight on. Because of the kink in the junction; the number of motorcyclists who can legitimately get away quicker than cars and the number of cycles this frequently puts people in danger as two into one - from both directions - won't go.
As an aside, this junction has much shorter queues when the traffic lights don't work. Go figure.
I know it's just another example of the "I'm allright, f**k yoy" attitude that's so prevalent these days. And it does seem to be an actual decision to do this in every example I've seen rather than a genuine mistake. But, where's the camera that can spot this type of offence? Personally I'd support that initiative any day.
