Good cars in the areas around tracks

So I've recently moved from Hertfordshire to Northampton, and work at Silverstone circuit. I have noticed in the last 6 months or so that the cars around Silverstone are considerably more petrolhead than those in Hertfordshire. Lots of Nobles (atleast 1 or 2 a week), an atom or 2 every month etc etc.

Compare this to the wash of range rovers in Hertfordshire and it would seem like theres something in the water.

Does anyone else who lives local to a circuit notice this?

Before anyone says its because of track days, I don't think it is, we can hear the circuit from our office and there are very few track days compared to the frequency of seeing amazing cars.

Once a month a fleet of us used to go through all the villages on the way to Bruntingthorpe, the locals soon sussed it and began coming out with cameras etc when we bowled through. Was always a nice sight!
