For the buyer of said car to move on price.

Guy drove 2 hours to see my car which is for sale (quite unique and only one of it's kind in colour) he offered £1000 less than the asking price, I came down by £250, he said he would have a think and went away, is there no such thing as bartering these days? (this guy nearly bought my car 3 years ago from the previous owner but I pipped him to it)

Am not prepared to give the car away, don't really need to sell the car, just have an itch for something better.

Answers on a postcard please?

He obviously wants it given the history, so dont go down by anything.

There was a similar thread last week.Fella wasnt bothered about selling and

would NOT accept any offers and even a £200 offer below asking price didnt sell it

He never did reveal the car or price ,said it was fairly special apparently nuts

Until the deal is done, yes. And it's perfectly acceptable for you not to move on price.

I was prepared to come down further as I knew the price on the car I want to get next, he just upped and went, maybe he is not so interested in the car after all?

Totally depends on the car and price. It could be a fiat uno turbo (dont see many at all), and in bright orange and be priced at £24,000 for all we know.

some people are tards, you just have to accept it.

you probably didn't pip it when you bought it, he probably offered a grand less then the asking and when this was turned down he went home.......lol

Well, the price you want for it is the price you want for it. If a buyer is not prepared to meet that price then so be it.

I've had a similar situation to you arise but a day or two later got a call with an increased offer.....

Why does that make him a 'tard? And what's to lol about?

Odd.
