What classic under 2k?

Fancying a change from the Saab, and have recently started looking at classic cars.

The budget is up to £2000

Most CERTAINLY a classic. (according to the insurance company that covered mine 4 years ago )

Morris Minor. Maybe a Dolomite 1300 or 1850. MGB is possible. Triumph Herald. Rover P6 2000, Triumph 2000, Triumph TR7 (I like these, check my profile ), Hillman Imp, Ford Capri, Pontiac Fiero if you fancy something 80's and stiking, Ford Anglia.

Reckon there's quite a bit of choice tbh. And £2k should get you something fairly tidy and straight.

I know they sort of have retro cool charm and are a good drive. But if I went to a classic car show I'd be fairly disappointed to see a 205 parked up. The assumption would be, oh, their classic must have broken down last night, so they had to bring their daily instead.

Yep, modern classic etc just like a Mk1/Mk2 Golf, RST, R5 GTT, RS Cosworth etc etc.
Been listed in the back of Classic and Sportscar since 1999,
Mines on a classic policy too, it's also 21 years old!
You wouldn't believe how often I get stopped in petrol stations for the chat "I had one of those etc etc (it's not my daily either)

Most people who go to classic shows probably know about cars so it's unlikely they'd make that mistake
