I need to replace a bulb on the wife's XC90 and was going to replace the main lights with Philips ones.

As daft as it sounds, do I need to let the insurance company know as this may be classed as an upgrade?

Thanks

Think that may be going a bit far.

Would you ring them and ask if you need to tell them you're changing the tyres to Continental instead of the manufacturer fitted Michelins?

That would make more sense, I read something on here about it actually.

Make sure you also tell them if you if you fit an a air fresheners to your rear view mirror as this may also be classed as a modification.

It's an MOT fail.

^ he's right. MOT fail if you put them dangling on your rear view mirror. But that's if the person MOTing wants to be arsey. I never like putting them there. I much prefer it on the indicator stalk. or on the rear coat hangers.
