Come on, own up - is your pride and joy on Ch4v Pl4tes

If so which category are you in?

N4MES - Reserved for the sad individuals that mis-space/misrepresent their plates in an attempt to spell their own name using any method available.

WORD5 - For the gifted few that manage to spell a word that does actually exist in the English Dictionary

NON-WORD5 - For those with slight mental retardation who have developed new words that don't yet exist in the English Dictionary

WHY BOTH3R - Why go to all the effort, risking a fine and changing the plate for the MOT each year - when they look like this?

My car has personal plates. It's in the original format (ie A111 AAA) but the final three letters are initials.

They're just not my initials. thumbup

I'd say quite a few.

You've just alienated 30% of Pistonheads.

Good luck. biggrin

It is just another reason to attract the PD. Screw that.

Although I'm not a fan of mis-spaced number plates, I can't help but feel whoever created that site has more issues than the people whose plates are featured on it.

This stuff reminds me of the Viz Top Tip:

Don't spend lots of money on changing your number plate to spell out your name as it can be very expensive, a deed poll name change only costs £20.

Kind regards

This site is dedicated to those individuals that arrange their vehicle registration plates illegally.

This site is not against personal/cherished number plates at all. It is however, against the mis-spacing of letters/numbers and or numberplate screws which then turns the number plate into something ridiculous, foolish and nonsensical.
Just for the personal plate lot to read before you all get angry.

Clarkson hit the nail on the head ages ago:
"There's no E in 'toast', and even if there was, why would you want it on your car?"

The other thing I've seen that amuses me is when people write an explanation along the bottom of their plate.

So N1 GRV will be spaced N1G RV and then in tiny letter along the bottom it'll say Nigel Harvey.

Massive fail! biggrin

I agree. I don’t like try-hard plates (although I don’t see anything wrong with the 'S2000' plate they have on that site), but to go to the trouble of making a website for them is equally sad.

Sad site, although I had a quick look on " of the Month" and loved the R666MMA plate on the 206CC - how many number plate screws!? biggrin

I used to have a plate on my car. It was a nickname, easily recognisable.

Originally bought for an Elise to hide it's age a little, it's been on every car since.

It's not on my current car as I only plan on keeping it 12 months. As it's only a runaround I'm not bothering to keep forking out and taking trips to get the plate transferred.

I think mine could be seen as a chav plate sort of.

16 DH, but I bought it because I wanted it to look like 1 GDH, I just don't want it re spaced.
