Hi,

Just thought I'd sign up here as I'm trying to spread the word around a few forums about my pride and joy that was stolen on Monday night on the off chance that someone might spot her out and about! Hope its OK with the forum rules!

The ****s broke in through my front door, stole my keys, wallet, laptop, mountain bike and car while I was asleep upstairs!

Its a red mk2 Seat Leon FR,reg DG07 YCO stolen from South Liverpool.

Here are a few pics of her..

Would be grateful if anyone in the area could keep their eyes open.. I know theres only a slim chance of anyone spotting her though!

Thanks! smile

Sorry to hear of your loss (been there) will keep a look out for it, theres a stolen cars sticky at the top of the page and a North West section if you want to get more of the locals keeping an eye out

Thanks, I've just added it to the sticky. If a mod could move this to the NW section maybe that would be great!

Just had a bit of good news, had a phone call off the Police and they told me they'd recovered my car last night.

I've just been down to the Police lockup to check for damage and drop my spare keys off so forensics can give my car a once over.

Luckily there was absolutely no damage to the outside of the car although it does look like they've given it a good ragging as the wheels are coated in brake dust. There are a couple scrapes on the alloys too. I had a look inside through the window and it looks like everything I had in there is still there, just thrown in the passenger footwell. My Alpine headunit and sat nav is even still in it!!!

Am absolutely made up, really wasn't expecting to ever see her again! biggrin

Just need to get her back when the Police are done with her, probably going to have her serviced and checked over and I need the locks changing.

I have always made a point of hiding all the keys to our cars in a very safe place where they would never think of looking in a million years, rather than leaving them lying around on the kitchen worktop, on a hook in the hall etc.

Very pleased you have your car back......thumbup

Will they

A Leave the house quietly

B come up stairs and beat the crap out of you till you show them the keys

A is mostly likely but i don't fancy B so they can have the car its just a lump of rusty metal

I've been beefing up the security this week anyway. Changed the locks to much better ones and fitted a lock and bolts into my porch door. Have got someone coming to put a pole at the end of my driveway and I'm going to get an alarm system for my house. Hopefully they'll think twice about breaking in now!

^Totally this. This discussion has been done lots of times on here, normally after a car has been stolen.

My continued ability to breath in and out, and my family too, is WAY more important than a car.

I wouldn't make it easy for the thieves, I wouldn't make it too difficult for them either.

It was just found parked up at the side of the road in Hunts Cross, I think it was in an industrial estate. The plates hadn't been changed so the Police must have just spotted it on their ANPR or something. I did phone them up and ask them for some more information but they said they couldn't tell me at the moment as it was under investigation by CID.

The CID guy did tell me on Tuesday morning that they'd picked up two lads in the area and at a similar time to my break in..

Massive thumbs up to the Police though! smile
